    Pros

Good benefits, room for growth, decent pay and good people

    Cons

After becoming BNY Mellon it went down hill,, way too much PC with all of its discriminating Diversity BS. They hired and promoted way too many people based on their sex or color of skin than on merit. This has caused lost of resentment among many employees. Work is supposed to be about the job not indoctrination gay life styles etc.

Very petty place concerning cell phones, or using the phone, email etc.

    Advice to Management

Go back to being fair by hiring and promoting on merit with No discrimination of anyone. That works for all. Its about the work, nothing else.

I worked at BNY Mellon (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are some really good people that work there. I learned many jobs in my 15 years at the company before being laid off.

    Cons

The company is focused on the bottom line only . I was laid off because the company is moving jobs to Pune India. The benefits are average at best.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary is fair, and workload is manageable. This company cares about work/life balance. I received a fairly average raise and bonus after my first year. Vacation, is awesome. I started with three weeks and will be up to 4 weeks of vacation after just 2 years! They are also willing to pay for training and have a good tuition program.

    Cons

There is some bitterness amongst people who have been around since before the merger of BNY and Mellon. That can be a drag at times. Also, in my second year of employment the health care offering went WAY down hill! They had a PPO 100 my first year. Now they have these crappy high deductible plans. I’m having a kid this year and it going to cost some $$$.

    Advice to Management

Most of what you are doing is pretty good. There are some crack pots near the top but things aren’t all bad. Take better care of your people when it comes to health care and we’ll be ok.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

401k, Medical, Leading Technology, exciting projects.

    Cons

60 plus hours per week is expected in some areas. Weekend work of 12 hours per day is common. Reprisal for noncompliance. Promotions, raises and bonus is not based on merit. Constant required meetings creates low productivity and which leads to long work hours.

    Advice to Management

Motivation and moral issues need to be addressed. Stop brow beatings and intimidation tactics.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits, with awesome vacation time. I've worked there for 4 years and have 3 weeks off with the option to buy a week, plus 3 personal days. Next year, at 5 years, I will have 4 weeks with the option to buy a week, plus 3 personal days. Can't beat that.

    Cons

It can be difficult to move up. A lot of competition.

    Pros

    Relatively stable
    Pay is OK
    Relatively relaxed
A lot of work still to do to complete the merger
    Most staff

    Cons

    EMEA technology is ignored
Very big "tick the box" culture
Lack of focus on completing a good job
Lacking in technical management in EMEA
    Increasing feeling of despondency

    Advice to Management

On a technology front there is very little focus on EMEA
I think many staff in London fear for their jobs - more reassurance could go a long way
