Very good company to work for, with a clear care toward employee's families

Benefits are better than at many other financial companies. Management very engaged and approachable at all levels, including the President and CEO. Lots of feedback to make sure your career goals are being met, and opportunities are presented to grow or change into new roles. You can be a major contributor and earn a good salary without taking the management track. Most importantly for me, this is a company that does not demand I put in all hours of my life to them and sacrifice my family. Quite the opposite. I have been dealing with some serious family health issues for over three years, and my managers have been extraordinarily understanding and accommodating with giving me the flexibility needed to take care of my family members and myself; whether working remotely as needed, having flexibility about start and end of my day, or abruptly taking some time off due to an unexpected emergency, the answer from management is always the same -- Take care of your family.

Salary increases can sometimes feel a little stingy, but this is offset by the fact they're more consistently given than any other financial company I've worked for (where sometimes it could be years between base increases). The ability to work from home regularly was recently made much more restrictive than in the past several years, for no clear reasons. Process to earn a promotion to the next title is still somewhat arcane, though much improved over the old process from a few years prior. This past year, the department holiday party felt like it was done on the cheap compared to prior years, which is odd in a year where reported earnings were better than forecast.

It is a good entry level company, but don't stay too long there and don't count on big raises

There are still 7 hour work days in most departments and generous vacation time. if you like to do your work and go home, there is plenty of room for those types of positions. They provide good trainings and great benefits. good 401K plan.

salary is on the lower side of competitive and the company fail to retain good employees...
