I worked at BOK Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay depending on who your manager is.

    Most people are nice enough.

    Cons

You know when you quietly stare into a computer screen and find yourself thinking about the monotony of waking up, getting dressed, driving to work, staring at a computer screen, coming home, going to sleep, and then doing the same thing again the next day, forever? So balance that warm fuzzy feeling with the annual dread of how many lay offs there will be to help senior management fudge a decent ROAE. If that's something you are looking for then BOK is the place for you!

In some ways BOK culture truly reflects the culture of Oklahoma: Conservative, slow, relies on a single industry to stay afloat, provincial, and insecure.

Culture is very much that of going to work to make a salary and nothing more.

    Advice to Management

Get some direction, fight for your employees, build a reputation that compliments and doesn't merely depend on the generosity of the chairman. People in Oklahoma want to work for BOK because there aren't many options in Oklahoma. You won't truly attract talent until you're more than that.

I have been working at BOK Financial full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I love the culture at BOKF. In the Tulsa area I don't think there is a better employer from a cultural perspective.

    Cons

When they promote internally, the pay increases are significantly smaller than they would be for an external hire. Individuals have to leave the company to maximize earning potential.

    Advice to Management

Live up to the claim that BOKF is a pay for performance culture. Right now that isn't a true statement.
