    Pros

Lots of reviews here talking about the German culture. It's a German company so you will definitely meet people from Germany and be exposed to some German culture.

HQ in Germany has oversight on a lot but that does not mean things take a long time or do not happen. If you want something done, and you are persistent and make your case, it will move forward at a fast pace. "Politics" don't really exist when it comes to getting your work done, like some have stated; rather, it's about "use-cases" to execs and HQ so that you can convince them to devote resources with reason, and not blindly.

Management is accessible and friendly. Environment is collaborative and engaging if you put in the effort.

HR is great with support. Definitely working to improve employee engagement and support.

    Cons

Silos do exist, but they are slowly being connected. If you push, you will see better results individually. Like everything else in life, persistence is key.

A bit behind in some aspects of business, but quickly catching up. Again, if you're smart about the way you approach new solutions/ideas, you can definitely make an impact.

Take a good look at resource allocation and make some changes. Some balancing needs to be done by paying attention which dept. truly impact your bottom line vs. what you're currently heavily invested in.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. A little bit more communication from Executive team regarding Global/region direction and strategy would be helpful.

Make it mandatory to have calls with HQ on a weekly/bi-weekly basis for certain key departments, so that region and HQ ore on the same page on key initiatives.

    Pros

They have great benefits, plenty of opportunity for overtime.

    Cons

Promotions come from within the working group or section, this leads to little chance of new ideas or processes to be implemented, interpersonal relationships are more a factor of promotion rather than skill, knowledge, work ethic.

    Advice to Management

Instead of promoting from within the organization for supervisors and team leaders you would better serve the company by recruiting from the graduate pool from ECU's College of Business.

ECU's COB curriculum is very relevant to the culture and leadership deficiencies that I witnessed during my 10 years an employee at BSH - New Bern, NC.

I believe this would provide the productive and lasting organizational change that is needed to improve the negative culture that your manufacturing associates must deal with every day. A change in culture would reduce the stress of your employees, reduce lost time, and improve TQM and FPY rates.

I worked at BSH Home Appliances USA full-time

    Pros

It is a very "ok" place to work.

    Cons

Decisions are made based on opinions and internal politicking. A lot of petty gossip and finger pointing. The lack experienced managers makes collaboration very difficult.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on completing the project, and less about the superficial things.
If you have enough time to gossip then you are not busy enough.
Hire managers from outside of the company to help change the current culture.
