I have been working at BSH Home Appliances USA for more than a year

    Pros

Unlimited overtime potential (varies between departments), flexible work hours, relaxed business environment, great experience with an international company, good benefits through 401k, employee discounts, field trials, scratch and dent, etc. Decent team building.

    Cons

It is clear there is favoritism among upper management, there are a lot of engineer/lab tech I, when there should be multiple II/III. Interns are often given trivial work. Very few out of work events (work sponsored baseball games/picnics). Offsite IT is a pain.

    Pros

The money is the only thing they have going for them but only if you can get the hours.

    Cons

Everything else especially the upper management. Disorganized. It's not what you know it's who you blow. That is the only way you will get ahead.

    Pros

Good, solid brands and quality products you can be proud of. Nice co-workers. Unique and exciting culture due to parent company being German.

    Cons

Upper management had recently changed and new leadership had no creative team management experience. Department suffered.

I worked at BSH Home Appliances USA

    Pros

The campany used to make some of the best diswahers in the world, but now they make just average products.

    Cons

Growth of BSH has been hindered by the lack of respect for the employees, which are the heart and soul of the New Bern operations. The upper management thinks it is more important to have beach houses in California than with the manufacturing facilities. The countess excessive spending on just traveling inbetween the two sites could keep 30 employees a year on the payroll rather than another countless layoff. There is a big inequality in the treatment, the pay, the job security of the US employees and the managment that comes from overseas.
