I have been working at BSN Sports full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I really love working here, management is great and they really notice the people who work hard. I would recommend anyone to work here.

    Cons

Sometimes other people on the floor can be pretty negative but that’s anywhere you go.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees a little bit more (especially the ones who are really working hard)

I worked at BSN Sports full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very relaxed warehouse compared to a place like Amazon. Most people were happy to help each other out if needed. Gave me good experience as a manual screen printer and I have been able to apply that knowledge elsewhere. My manager supported me quite a bit, and we got along well and that motivated me to be more productive. Has pretty much every field from embroidery to screen printing to heat pressing.

    Cons

Company just really does not like to keep its promises. All of my coworkers who were promised sign on bonuses for getting new hires into the company were never given said bonuses. When our schedule moved from 4 days a week to 5 days a week we were promised Saturdays would never be worked, however now every floor worker I know that still works there is now working 6 day 60 hour weeks, Saturdays included. After a promotional day awards (some shirts, therma-cups, etc.) were supposed to be given to participating employees however it has now been disclosed that said awards will not actually be given until possibly well into 2019. This was nothing life or death but it shows the integrity of management. Many lower level managers felt they had something to prove and went out of their way to make the floor printers' lives hell by tinkering with their equipment, falsifying write ups, and changing their reported hours. Changes in investors would randomly change the rules and hours of the warehouse which became very problematic.

    Advice to Management

If you are going to make a promise to your employees, fulfill it. We would rather not hear about it at all than get our hopes up only for it to fall through.

I worked at BSN Sports full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Had been a good company. Former management had an upbeat attitude..was glad to go to work each day..goals were achieved...still good co workers

    Cons

New manager..new director..lost focus of the goal of the department..new ownership brought about bad changes....management bullied ( even physically) employees..many left..was no longer a place to enjoy..still have many friends there and here their stories....

    Advice to Management

    Not a word...

    Pros

Friendly coworkers everyone seems to want to help.

    Cons

Managers play favorites. Rules don't apply the same to everyone.
If you arent sales you arent anything to this company. They will bend over backwards to help their sales pros and then give them all sorts of perks but if you go out of you way to help you get nothing.

    Advice to Management

Don't be vindictive when your employees point out your mistakes to you.

Terry you need to make trips to each office pull employees and talk to them one at a time keep it between yourself make a decision and fire all of your upper management in 1 California office and have it be ran correctly.

    Pros

Great culture and energy. Good, hardworking people. Managers understand family / work balance. Good vacation time. Pay is on par with standards. Strong Leadership that is fast moving and innovative.

    Cons

A nice benefit would be allowing the week of winter break off. Schools are closed so seems like it is appropriate timing and would be a nice perk. 401k company contribution needs improvement.

    Advice to Management

    Revisit the retirement plan, please.
