I worked at BSN Sports full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people here really care about you, no matter if you are in the warehouse or in a top position. I loved working here and made some lifelong friends.

    Cons

In the warehouse specifically, there are high inventory seasons and low inventory seasons because of when sports are beginning. This makes for inconsistent scheduling where it would be 13+ hours for a few weeks and other weeks you only went in about 2 days.

I have been working at BSN Sports full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Salary, benefits, distance from home

    Cons

The feeling as if you really only matter if you make the company money or look good. Being told you can reach out for help but not getting it when you do.

    Advice to Management

You can only step on the lower levels so many times when climbing up before it crumbles and the company falls down a notch or two

    flexible work schedule

    Cons

    tedious and boring job
management does not care about any thing you do. if your sales guys make a mistake its your fault and they will let you know it
really no chance to move up very high

I worked at BSN Sports full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Employee discount, relaxed dress code sometimes

    Cons

Middle-Management is inexperienced and have no idea how to lead. Constant belittling if you ask for help. Rules only apply to certain people. Executive leadership team looks down on employees like they are just files in a drawer, while claiming a “family” atmosphere. This is a job that is made for right out of college kids that are just happy to be in the workforce. No opportunities for advancement unless you’re related to someone or willing to relocate (which they do not financially support).

    Advice to Management

If you promote someone to manager, require them to take leadership/management training. Just because someone knows how to do a job well, doesn’t mean they know how to manage well.

I have been working at BSN Sports full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Windows and for the most part you can do what you want. Just come to work on time.

    Cons

Bad pay, management lacks integrity. New managers are clueless and have never been in sales before. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

    Advice to Management

Resign and hire star employees from within. Stop seeking outside help to fix your problems. Recognize the people you have.

I worked at BSN Sports full-time

    Pros

Met a few folks who seem nice.

    Cons

Many. No room for advancement, employees don't seem to think that corporate folks care about them, no effort put into making the entire place look like people work there (bathrooms worse than public restrooms). Corporate not all to blame for this, employees don't seem to care either. Factory area run like a sweatshop and management shows favoritism. Will always lead to high turnover for people who don't want to put up with this. Many companies they're doing business with are fed up with their poor customer service and high turnover is a reason for this.

    Advice to Management

They know what needs to happen. Employees are the ones who need to change. Maybe then management will.
