I have been working at BTS full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Not very hierarchical fun & hard working young culture with energetic and smart individuals BTS simulation solutions are fun and engaging and more impactful that traditional consulting solutions

    Cons

more casual than formal, some see this as a pro still room for improvement on brand recognition in the US at least

I have been working at BTS for more than a year

    Pros

If you're looking for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company that will demand a lot of you while exposing you to some of the world's top companies, this is the place to be. Rather than traveling to one location for one project, up to a year at a time, you work on multiple projects at once (great for people who may get bored or burnt out quickly). The cities to which you travel vary weekly (a significant amount is international),...

    Cons

Long hours can be taxing, especially given the ebb and flow of travel. However, management is good about encouraging people to take time away from work when they aren't busy. Being a smaller company that is growing quickly, BTS isn't a very process-oriented organization. This can provide opportunities, but also creates rework.

    Advice to Management

As BTS continues to grow quickly, don't compromise the unique culture by just hiring bodies. Make sure candidates fit the mold of a BTSer.

I have been working at BTS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Awesome people, a lot of autonomy, ability to learn about different companies/industries, great travel opportunities, snacks in the kitchen (always a plus), room for growth, opportunities above your title, and the management is great, and it's FUN! Best job I've had so far.

    Cons

Work life balance can be overwhelming at times. Be ready for a lot of travel and some long hours (as with most consulting jobs).

I worked at BTS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fosters a great work environment and teamed with, for the most part, smart people. Exposure to senior leadership and opportunity to travel and experience an untraditional career route

    Cons

This is not a strategy consulting firm despite its best efforts to market itself as one. This is a learning and development firm. You mostly work with people in HR or their Learning and Development organization - there is nothing exciting about that. You don't do any consulting related analysis. Real strategy is left for the likes of MBB, LEK, AT Kearney, Strategy& and Marakon. Difficult to lateral to other consulting...

I worked at BTS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Entrepreneurial spirit, flexible and allowed to self develop. Strong culture focused on people and the Swedish mentality of a flat structure organisationally is pushed through, especially in Europe. Quality of people are truly great to work with and each person feels valued and feels they can make an impact on the client. Some clients are really interesting and it really has a huge impact on your personal development...

    Cons

No person in BTS can accurately define what BTS does. Is it a training company? Is it a strategic consultancy? Neither would be a conclusion. It allows BTS to tailor their USP according to the new prospect they are facing but it leads to confusion within the organisation and with the client. Feedback culture is great however there is sometimes too much of it The organisation is going through a change in Europe however...

I worked at BTS for less than a year

    Pros

Good culture, easy-going atmosphere, flat organizational structure, snacks, challenging projects.

    Cons

Still a start-up mentality, the company needs to evolve as it is growing very fast.
