I have been working at BWBR Architects full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, fun co-workers, challenging/interesting work, business-focused practice, leadership open to trying new intitatives, opportunities for philanthropy.

    Cons

The culure is not for everyone - dress is professional, expecations are high, mediocre effort and/or big egos are not tolerated.

    Advice to Management

Management has made a big effort to connect with younger/newer staff. They should not take those of us with a long tenure for granted.

I have been working at BWBR Architects full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

We are selective in choosing great clients, so the projects are typically very enjoyable. We also try to be involved through the entire project, predesign through construction documents, allowing you to really be of value to the client and learn a ton from each phase. The office is full of great creative people who are amazing mentors & friends. We share plenty of laughs and have a professional but fun culture.

    Cons

Those who ar equiet find it harder to get ahead and get noticed. Also, the staff could be more diverse.

    Advice to Management

Speak up about your good employees!

I have been working at BWBR Architects full-time

    Pros

Very supportive and familial like. Higher percentage of women than other firms. The benefits are excellent. It is a great place to find mentorship.

    Cons

Lacks a lot of diversity; principals are very similar...still a bit of the "old boys' club". The type of work is very static, not a lot of creative and new design.
