I worked at Baanyan Software Services full-time

    Pros

It is very easy to get into the company. As an international student, it is easy to get an offer letter from them and get an OPT status.
The compensation on their contract is not bad, but the premises to get real pay from them is to get on a project. There are also accommodations. They also promised Green-card and H1b when you are on project.
You get to meet other trainees(mostly Chinese) graduated from universities all over the U.S. Some of them even graduated with a phD and are very nice.

    Cons

The trainer does not care if you have absorbed the content, but just went on lecturing.
Everyone in the management just wants to take care of his/her own part and has no sense what would be the best for the trainee or the company on a whole in terms of helping trainees getting on a project.
ONCE you get to know people in the company, you may realize some of the HRs are very manipulative and even use unprofessional threatening language.

    Advice to Management

Please be professional to every employee all the time and treat people the way you want to be treated.

I have been working at Baanyan Software Services (Less than a year)

    Pros

I had a chance to work with this company for a short span but my experience was great. The company handles the immigration issues very seriously and that the reason you see the very less denials for so many applications filed.
I can confidently say that they honor all promises and pay on time. The management of the company is good and Organized. The marketing team is very good and patient.

    Cons

Training time involves more than usual.

I worked at Baanyan Software Services part-time

    Pros

    Open for OPT students,
offers H1B if you are on an on-site client project.
    provides Accommodation
    pay on time
Provide expenses to attended F2F interviews
    Provide initial relocation expenses

    Cons

No proper trainer/training for .Net (it applies to other technologies too)
They will conduct some mock interviews after training period which I personally feel is time waste process. They wasted my 4-5 months of opt period is this process of training and mock interview before pulling into the market.
Most of the times there will be no one to clarify your doubts or clear the tough question you face in an interview.
    No direct prime vendor/client contact
All requirements you get will be having Layers or/and F2F mandatory.
They are good at manipulating things so better you have written/email of everything you speak with them.
There are only two cases you will get a project from Baanyan 1. if you are very good experience or/and knowledge to clear an F2F. or 2. if you are lucky

    Advice to Management

Management should focus of on marking things work rather than showing off and blaming on us/market.
I feel Raghu should take things into his own hands and deal with them rather than putting the burden on some trusted third person.
Should put some effort to have a good relationship with Prime Vendor and Client.
Good as a Company, Bad as a consultancy firm
