    Pros

Great group of professionals and a great company culture. Huge chance to learn at a very fast paced and demanding business.

    Cons

Not very much work/life balance. I had dual responsibility that obliged me to go and see the market after I finished my office hours and working a minimum of 50 hours/week.

I worked at Bacardi full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fun place to work, drinking is culture and benifits are solid

    Cons

People are not equally judged on performance. People are rewarded greater for not messing up existing programs as opposed to creating new ones that help elevate a brand. In addition someone who you managed at an agency can get hired at a higher title than you with no brand management experience. Seen it happen multiple times. Once you leave, lower skilled employees are all of the sudden promoted into roles higher... lots of smoke and mirrors and make sure you know how to brown nose with the best of them.

    Advice to Management

You continue to lose great talent due to lack of management stability. Face it, your brands are dying cause you don't let programs go through growing pains... you kill brands too soon and waste money on poor ideas.

    Pros

Great brands. Great benefits. Nice work environment. Cool People.

    Cons

Too many management changes. Lack of opportunities to move to different roles within the company.

    Advice to Management

Invest more on your current employees. Stop hiring people from outside to do the job vs promoting from within. Majority of new positions are filled with New Hires.

    Pros

The company wants people to challenge the status quo, allows employees to push the boundaries of typical businesses. Mgt is very open, honest and direct. I feel the North Am businesses has turned the corner and is headed in the right direction. Strong leadership

    Cons

Not for the weak of heart or people who don't like change. Not sure who really runs Mkting, structure does not appear to be working. Global leaders need to spend time with employees n listen to their concerts n ideas.

    Advice to Management

Let's get the structure right, continue to invest in the biz n people, share the vision of where we are taking this company

    Pros

You get free alcohol. It is a globally recognized company name and brand. The US plant is in a nice-weather location. Mostly interesting work.

    Cons

Terrible management. Poor work-life balance. No clear vision. Unstable leadership. Low morale. In my 7 years there, we went through 3 different CEOs.

I have been working at Bacardi full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been with the company over 10 years. It is great company with excellent benefits. The old timers make the organization and culture.

    Cons

Way to many management changes at the top levels. That means different priorities and projects with every management change. Seem like we are constantly spinning our wheels going nowhere. Extremely disruptive.

    Advice to Management

What needs to be fix is the marketing make the products relevant to the consumer to drive up sales. So that massive head count reductions worldwide and plant closures stop you are losing great talent at all levels.
