      Pros

      Good food, can work days, nights or both, good discounts, benefits offered

      Cons

      Some managers are on a power trip, they definitely have favorites. Never understood how they decided to put certain people in certain stations, while other really great servers never had an opportunity to shine. You only get a 3 table station, and need managers permission to get any more. Also some of the clientele is awful. Managers reward their bad behaviors by giving them discounts. What’s worse, it’s always the same group of people who come in, make a big deal out of nothing (because they know managers don’t want to hear from corporate), and they get $50 gift cards to come back.

      3 table sections so you can be very thorough with your guests, 50% off food when you’re working

      Cons

      No gratuity on ANY checks, bad management

      Pros

      -Awesome managers -Great coworkers -Flexible hours -Discount with other Darden restaurants -Restaurant takes pride in customer service

      Cons

      -Hard to get full time because of the many people who work there -You can only get good benefits if you are full time for a required period, which is hard to get from what I stated above. -Only 3 tables per server at all times -Unorganized and confusing training class (possibly to weed out the less serious candidates) -Bad tips; Because of the location, the type of food Bahama Breeze offers, and the many happy hours, it draws in many lousy tippers.

      Pros

      The job itself is fun, it's not too bad, I've made some great friends there and the job is simple and straightforward. You get a 3 table rotation and you do your side-work and help run food when you can.

      Cons

      It being a Caribbean restaurant...lol. Seriously, on the weekends, especially Friday or Saturday night, some of the worst creatures would come out and ask for so much; yet tip way below what they're suppose too. Expect a $5 tip on a $100 bill for example. And it's not the Servers, because every Server I've worked with there, dealt with the same issue. It's just how people were raised and I feel certain people shouldn't go out to eat and be cheap when it comes to pay...

      Tips can be decent Hours are flexible Work with you while attending school

      Cons

      Management Way management treats employees Rude Customers - Customer is always right attitude from management Corporate Mangement only focused on numbers Management doesn't notice servers who do their job only reviews / number charts Count against you if food is cold, comes out late, doesn't get made correctly in weekly "charts/returns statistics" Basically treated like crap Not great money No system in cutting (No first in first out) Random cuts Lack of rotation from hosts (get triple sat often) Dish pit often gets so full we run out of silverware on Fri/Sat nights Not allowed over 3 tables even if you can handle it.

      Pros

      Flexible scheduling with my school, good $, Leadership sincerely cares about employees, easy to request off, if you have an issue it is always quickly resolved. The managers are serious about the guest and employee experience alike.

      Cons

      3 table stations, late nights, cleanliness standards are high so expect to do your side work perfect. Standards are very high when compared to other restaurants in area, if you are not a hard worker, you will not last.

      Pros

      -The staff is amazing -50% discount on food -Flexible schedules -Fun atmosphere -Happy hour brings in a lot of people -Easy to upsale to get higher bills

      Cons

      -Pay (tips) is very hit or miss -Management is not great, they don't seem to care if their servers make money -3 table section -Large party after large party, especially on weekends -No automatic gratuity -At my location, it's very obvious to the entire staff that one of the managers has some sort of relationship with one of the cooks...the flirting and touching is ridiculous -Can never find a manager when you need one -Very corporate...you pretty much have a script of what you're supposed to say to guests -Secret shoppers -Kitchen gets so behind and messes orders up frequently

      flexible schedule, large staff so its easy to give up and pick up shifts, easy side-work, laid back atmosphere.

      Cons

      slows down immensely once the summer is over, 3 table sections.

      Pros

      In the summer it is possible to make good money serving.

      Cons

      You are allowed only 3 tables in your section. There is a lot of drama between servers and managers. They require you to do to much work for what you are earning.
