I have been working at Bahwan CyberTek full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Stability of the company is good. Recently there have been initiatives to target aggressive growth.

    Cons

The old style hierarchical org structure may annoy you when you join from a company that is not so rigid. Some of the benefits need to change to adapt to current time.

    Advice to Management

Refresh current brand, refresh management style to fit software industry.

I have been working at Bahwan CyberTek full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Stable, secured job as long as you deliver and continue to be productive. Continues to innovate and concur new areas. Very strong management team (almost all of them are 15+ years in the company). You can bond and feel as family, as long as you align your goals with what company is trying to do.

    Cons

Despite of the fact that the company is 15 years old, they continue to be opportunistic and have not done any work in creating a brand in the market place. Unfamiliar brand and zero marketing efforts. You can only survive if you're broad based; but specialize in core areas company makes money. Be prepared to be challenged with new technologies that you need to rapidly learn. Unpredictable career growth.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention and listen to employee aspirations. Stay focussed on your core and learn to say no to non-core opportunities. Very importantly, invest on two areas : marketing and branding, employee training and development.

I worked at Bahwan CyberTek full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Thankfully they credit Salary on time.

    Cons

No care for employees personal life.
No transparency with policies. Most policies verbal.
HR and Delivery managers controlled by remote control of Sr.Management. More managers than developers who actually drive the business and generate revenue.
Appraisals delayed forever all the time. When you get it discover it's good for nothing .
Money deducting machine when you leave.
Eat up your salary when you land in the US.
Force people to work on technologies they not interested in. Mock at people who don't work on SOA not realising Oracle SOA is also built on top of Java. Java is an ever green field with new apis which might replace even Oracle SOA some day.
Threaten people that they will not get good salary until they work on SOA.
Keep talking about millions and billions pipeline but in reality that pipeline is dry.Overambitious and give false promises about growth prospects.

    Advice to Management

Please stop pushing people to work on SOA. Let them be comfortable with their skillsets and try to bring value based on those skills. Try to have an edge and get the best out of people with their current skills and let them hone their skills in the technical domain they are in than forcing them constantly to diversify with their skills based on company's whims. There are much more cutting edge technologies besides Oracle SOA.

I think the CEO should connect more and try to learn about the grievances of the employees than sit remote and rely on reports. CEO should be involved closely and monitor all departments including HR to avoid any further collateral damage and ensure the workers below the C-Level are also happy as they are the lifeline and assets for the company.High time this realisation dawns on the top management.

I worked at Bahwan CyberTek full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I don't see any.. apart from salary coming into your account that because that is managed by 3rd party and all the money transaction are prone to Audit by IRS. But that salary is also way below Industry standards.

    Cons

    - Poor Management
These guys are of typical Bania (arbitrator in Indian language) mentality. They don't have manager per-se , just the coordinator. Poor management skill and shrewd and cunning mentality. Bluffing client & employee 90% of times. Just care about billing and nothing else matter to them. Employee satisfaction word is not even in their dictionary.
Manager will intrude in you personal time after office hours.

    - Lack of people skill
They dont know how to deal with employees and client. Lies, lies & lies...thats all they have to offer. Simple words they all (managers sitting in Natick office) can be hero of the movie, if the movie name is : TRUE LIES !!

    - Employer friendly policies (and anti employee)
No clear or written policies at all, they can be twisted each and every day in the favor of employer.

    - No career growth path, No learning opportunities.
    - Do not get fooled by their website and big claims or partnership with other software giants.
They have no direct client just working as 3rd party vendors.

    Advice to Management

Guys, just have some moral standards...at least speak truth once in a day, you shave to show your face to God one day... dont fool employee with fake millions of dollars of pipeline... Be transparent and ethical to employees if you want to gain some respect, otherwise you will vanish forever very easily.

    Pros

Gives one an opportunity to come and work in US.

    Cons

Hidden policies never lets one know what is the on-hand salary. Took approximately a year to provide additional documents for 221g and 6 more months to get the client interviews started. Never recognized the niche skill of OTM. You just get per diem instead of salary till you get the SSN no matter you are billable or not.

    Advice to Management

Make the policies crisp and clear.
