    I have been working at Bain & Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    For me, it's the people that make Bain such a special place to work. Every day, I come into the office and I learn from people above, below, and at the same level as me. Everyone also knows how to have fun outside of the office to ensure their is work / life balance.

    Cons

    As with any great job, we have to work hard. That being said, Bain attempts to keep things balanced hard cases followed by more manageable ones. They also make corrections when a team is having a tough run by adding additional investment resources and pushing back on the client's scope.

    I have been working at Bain & Company full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    * Really talented, smart, motivated, helpful colleagues
    * Commitment to results - whether with our clients or for our internal customers
    * Talented leadership; very well run organization; lots of collaboration
    * 15 years here and I'm still learning every day
    * Great compensation and benefits
    * Truly global organization

    Cons

    * Lean operating model means that teams/internal departments are very stretched (but that challenges you to be disciplined/prioritize what matters most)

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

    I have been working at Bain & Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    There is no better place to start your career than at Bain. You will be exposed to multiple industries with companies tackling different problems. You also get to spend your time with some of the most driven, motivated down to earth people. Bain also gives great career development advice whether that future is staying with Bain or trying something else out there is always someone to talk too.

    Cons

    The work-life balance can be difficult depending on the project but I think Bain does a better job at managing it than other firms.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you are doing and continue to grow into new capabilities

    I have been working at Bain & Company full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great benefits, great people, and lots of fun. Bain is an incredible place to start your career in business (and have a great time doing it).

    Cons

    Long hours are to be expected; that is purely the nature of consulting. No real cons other than that.

    I have been working at Bain & Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    I've worked at several companies so far in my life, and I have really been amazed by my experience at Bain. We deliver incredible results for our clients bringing our experience and analytical rigor and working with clients hand in hand to determine and address their issues. We have an incredibly supportive and fun culture that helps us grow and become amazing partners to our clients and leaders when we decide to leave.

    Cons

    The cons that I see at Bain & Company are more so industry related than company related. Professional services is tougher than industry, from an hours and travel perspective.

    Advice to Management

    Continue driving our growth while maintaining what makes our organization great: the culture and the results. Continue to push and innovate the toolkit that we can bring to our clients and broadly share that toolkit to the leadership.

    Pros

    Great place to build a business career. It provides opportunities and experiences well beyond what you can get in corporate positions.

    Cons

    There is very little to say in terms of cons at Bain. Only caveat would be if you know exactly what you want to do in a specialized role, Bain's learnings are more general.
