    Working with great people

    Pros

Great culture - 'one Bainie never lets another Bainie fail' is lived thoroughly throughout the company, across all levels. The learning curve is very steep and you get great training and coaching tips along the way ...

    Cons

work hours are the usual ones for the consulting business and are highly case-dependent; due to the rather small size there are currently only three office locations in Germany

Great work, interesting people, lots to learn, some hypocrisy in sustainability

    Pros

Steep learning curve with many chances to take ownership of workstreams (at any level) Excellent client set Interesting work (most of the time) Fantastic training programs

    Cons

At the firm level, there is a focus on sustainability - but sometimes this gets washed away by individual case teams, especially since WFH started. Raising these issues to your direct manager/sr. manager can only help in the short term (1-2 days of focus, and then return to the norm). Far too often LT gets defensive during sustainability conversations where junior/mid level team members have to justify the hours they have worked. Overall leads to junior team members not speaking up about sustainability or motivation issues, because who wants to get into an argument with their boss' boss on how much work you do on a daily basis? For many cases, have seen LT promising to do work outside scope and not bring in additional resources, which then burdens the team. Post covid: Weekend work (used to be taboo at Bain) has become the norm, super late nights (1-2am) and early mornings (7-8am) which used to be 2-3 days / week have become modus operandi. HR is working to improve post-covid sustainability, but won't be very successful till case teams stop doing work outside the scope. Also, 15 days of paid leave is not sufficient or in line with India's market practice. Needs to be improved. In terms of benefits,
