    It was a laid back workplace with smart engineers. Very helpful and were eager to help us learn and continue developing career skills

    They wanted us to model on their software but wouldn't buy it for us to use on campus

    insulate OFS from cyclicality of depressed spot oil prices & OPEC diffidence by having multi year backlogs in international mature fields, offshore and deepwater basins

    Pros

    Great organization to work for. They will cut fat when it needs cutting, but if you can effectively perform your job function with a good attitude it's a great place to work. Great money and big raises if you stick around.

    Cons

    A very demanding work environment, often forcing you to place a very high priority on work. This is more so a con of oilfield work than Baker Hughes in particular.

    Pros

    Great company to work for. Worked in many different countries around the World. I gained knowledge that I was able to use in my day to day.

    Cons

    Long times away from family. Working in sub par work conditions. All in all it was a great ten years working for one of the worlds biggest companies,

    Advice to Management

    Let the people know what they are getting into. Training is key to have a great worker you need to first train. If that person needs more training then keep training.
