    Management just trying to make it through the mergers, dictate orders and instructions that might not be the best for the organization

    Advice to Management

    Try to remember what made the company great once. Stop recruiting losers from the Blue Competitor.

    Pros

    Scheduled work, 7-4 monday to friday. Great benefits and salary. Company truck and good group of people to work with.

    Cons

    Slow oil patch means that managers are freaking out and threatening / talking about layoffs every week. "Could be gone next week, bring up those numbers"

    Focus on managing your staff, stop slacking off and start making everyone accountable. It will help when the going gets tough.
