I worked at Baker Sanders full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The only upside to working here is the parking lot, and the coworkers you can develop a relationship with some coworkers

    Cons

Where should I start...now of course every workplace has favoritism but working here I've seen a lot of favoritism play out. The pay is extremely low for the workload given. There's a high turnover rate. The quickest they fire someone is the quickest someone quits. Job security is a main problem here, the only way to maintain a job here is by favoritism without that your job is not secure. Bosses are unapproachable. Health insurance prices are also astronomical. Coworkers that you have not established a relationship with can also be backstabbing. A lot of shady unethical practices. Inadequate training, work is given without proper training then workers become confused. When workers approach supervisors or managers attitude follows behind it like they don't want to be bothered. I wouldn't recommend working here. Please avoid this place.

    Advice to Management

Be sociable with your employees so they can feel wanted and valued.

I worked at Baker Sanders full-time

    Pros

Relaxed work environment. Flexible work hours. Conveniently located near Roosevelt Field Shopping mall.

    Cons

The pay here is really low or maybe just my paycheck. Trying to get a decent raise is the equivalent of pulling teeth.

    Advice to Management

Show your employees that you value their work through higher compensation

I worked at Baker Sanders (More than a year)

    Pros

IF you are a college student, majoring in law, it is a good place to get experience. The often hire college students.

    Cons

The students are always nice people, but the other younger people are unfriendly, nasty people. Most of them have never left long island and they know nothing outside of the bubble of long island.

    Advice to Management

Hire people, that are not one dimensional

I worked at Baker Sanders full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Close to transportation and dining. Staff is friendly, except for "supervisors", they are glorified pencil pushers. Attorneys are pretty cool for the most part......... ............. ............. .

    Cons

Sneaky atmosphere, no sense of loyalty. playing with Illegal lines and ethics. Salary is pathetically low. Russians promote within there ranks, isolate and make others feel uncomfortable. Lawyers let staff police themselves by looking the other way when one self righteous person has a false sense of power to basically just babysit others, what a waste.

    Advice to Management

Pay staff fair rate, least you can do for constantly reminding lack of job security. Don't be so judgmental and cliquey. This isn't high school.

I worked at Baker Sanders full-time

    Pros

Co-workers became friends. All of the others look miserable all the time and will throw you under the bus any chance they get to get ahead. It is ten times worse than high school.

    Cons

Everything. Broken promises. Low pay. Bosses are unapproachable. Departments are mismanaged. No perks at all. Very clique-oriented. Bosses don't appreciate your hard work.

    Advice to Management

Stop making your employees feel uneasy and unappreciated all day.

I have been working at Baker Sanders full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The firm does seem to stay busy, so business must be good. But, they do not share it with the employee's. There is a large parking lot, so parking will never be a problem. There is a mall across the street.

    Cons

The starting salary is very low. The staff is un-friendly. There is a high turnover rate. Their clients are shady.

    Advice to Management

Hire other people with actual paralegal degrees
