I have been working at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company really goes the extra mile in terms of all the small things around the office that make for a comfortable working environment like snacks, a wide variety of coffee and teas and food during busy periods.

    Cons

They can push the hours agenda at possibly the cost of quality of work.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing.

I have been working at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The culture is fantastic - I love my clients and my coworkers and have so much fun doing my job and working with these people.

    Cons

Busy season can be hard, as it can be in any tax and accounting firm. You work a lot of hours in a short period of time. But luckily that isn't all year, just a few months.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing, treat your employees well and recognize excellence and hopefully Baker Tilly will keep growing and thriving as it already is.

I have been working at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

All of the people you work with are cream of the crop.... Extremely smart and motivated

    Cons

If you're not a project manager (i.e. actually doing project work), it can be tough to get things done during the day because the day usually consists of meetings. After hours are the only time you can actually get work done. Again, this was not the case for everyone.

    Advice to Management

I think management is doing a great job. It's a great company to work for.

    Pros

The best part about being employed at a growing company is the opportunity for growth and development. Work always found its way to those who performed well.

    Cons

The downside to working for a growing company is the lack of reward and compensation. When you delivery the desired results you should be compensated accordingly.

I worked at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company, efficient business analyst leading the project and the project managers were very efficient in handling delicate customer expectations. In my case I found my manager to be very easy to work with and yet he maintained a very high level of professionalism.

    Cons

Having only been contact employed for about 4 months before the project was internalized, I cannot accurately comment on the cons of working for Baker Tilly on a broader scale.

    Advice to Management

Your business analysts/project managers are very effectively, but project delivery might be improved with additional low-level software development skilled personnel.
