    Excellent benefits, friendly co-workers, decent pay

    Cons

    Schedules often require irregular starting times.

    Advice to Management

    Reward sincere effort. Support innovation. Authorize sufficient employees and hours to accomplish tasks required.

    Employee discount
    Friendly staff (if they're at the same level as you)
    Cross training
    Paid holidays

    Cons

    Store management does not care about you or your concerns, it doesn't matter how hard you try, only how long you've been there.
    They will make you work holidays there is no avoiding them

    Advice to Management

    Take a look at how hard some people work because if they're not getting recognized and they see it doesn't make a difference how hard they work, they won't try.

    Co-workers are friendly and benefits are the bomb

    Cons

    The upper management needs an entire overhaul! I love my job and I love Baker's but the upper store managers make it incredibly difficult to you do your job 80% of the time

    I have been working at Baker's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    As a college student, I got the steady hours I needed while continuing my education. Managers will also tend to notice those who work hard and are good at their jobs, giving large room to advancement opportunities.

    Cons

    Low pay for having being responsible for thousands of dollars each day. (Most people in department have multiple jobs) Management will blame the lowest supervisors for the department's low scores while not doing all in their power to hire enough people to run the department or even schedule enough for a store to work properly during the day. Because those who are hardworking can be paid more elsewhere, most of those who are promoted to department managers are pretty lousy.

    Advice to Management

    Hire enough people. Pay them a livable wage. Finish background checks before letting them work.

    Way too high expectations for short time allowed per each assignment. (especially if you work according to the Health Laws! )
    Don't believe "pay according to experience" during an interview !!

    Advice to Management

    Some "learning management," shouldn't ....
    No communication or people skills.

    Pay was not the greatest in the world, and the benefits are okay too.
