I worked at BakerCorp full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good training for those who stay with company.

    Cons

Under performing CEO who has no meaningful reason to be with BakerCorp.
CEO has taken a dynamic/successful company and destroyed it just a few short yrs.

    Advice to Management

Your last quartly report spells it all out on page 7. Trying to refinance will be difficult after the last several years of under performance and bad leadership. March of 2019 (loans due) may be the end of it all.

    I worked at BakerCorp full-time

    Pros

Good company overall. Competitive pay for area, good upper management. Great insurance benefits, 401k leaves a lot to be desired

    Cons

Analytics over everything stifles the flow of day to day work a bit. Hard to progress upwards through company without relocation.

    Advice to Management

Find a better mix of analytics and day to day work.

    Pros

Company has strong brand awareness and is focused on providing a positive service experience to their end users.

    Cons

Inconsistent leadership and strategy direction. Very "clicky" management structure. Unfortunately their primary product, 21K tanks, have become a commodity product.

I worked at BakerCorp (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay, excellent drivers. All employees pull together when it gets hard.

    Cons

Upper management micromanagement. No loyalty to sales process or people, very "clickish". They overwork the drivers/field people. Allow poor attitudes and there is a "party hard" attitude among much of the employees that is not family friendly. Not much in the way of recognition.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating employees like a number and not a "name". Get better insurance, work on daily attitudes. Get rid of the click mentality. Do not let employees drink at meetings. Many employees go too far. Hire people when needed. Most of the time all operations run very thin. It makes it very difficult to get things done.

I have been working at BakerCorp full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Lots of opportunities to work in many different disciplines.

    Cons

Lots of opportunities because of employee turnover. So many new managers that have “management “ experience but we are not selling cars or flipping burgers. This is a very unique business and people should be promoted from within. Taking a few company education classes on the computer does not make the managers experts or even knowledgeable. The best managers for Bakercorp are working there now- they just don’t have the job. Programs such as their Asset Management and RROC are being ran by people who don’t know the products and are just looking at data. Very bad decision being made that are costing the company big money.

    Advice to Management

Not my advice to management but to the board, do not renew the CEO’s contract. Time for him to go to another company and tear that one apart. He has done enough damage.

I have been working at BakerCorp full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Baker corp has great co-workers to work around, it has great benefits, it has 2 weeks of vacation a year

    Cons

The income is not as high as I usually make and it only has few overtime hours, only get pay checks every 2- weeks

    Advice to Management

My advice is always have enough equipment on the yard green tagged so u can meet the demands of your customers faster

I have been working at BakerCorp full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great education program.
Lots of room for growth and diversifying skills.
    Lots of Hours
    Safety conscious
    "Family" atmosphere at branch level

    Cons

Big corporations take along time for changes to be made from the bottom up.

Lots of finger pointing and blame shifting, most people here have the inability to admit they're ever wrong or make mistakes(Hello we're all human! The worlds not gonna crumble if you make a minor mistake and admit it)

The 401k matching is still a joke
The medical insurance isn't really that good(Thats the world we live in these days though)

    Advice to Management

Be more hands on and interact with your drivers and technicians.(Maybe actually work along side them once a week)
    Be open to criticism.
Try and actually listen to your employees ideas and concerns without just discounting them as not knowing as much as you.
