    Pros

In general, a good company to work for when entering the retail market. Shifts are at reasonable hours, customers are generally polite and the free bread at the end of each shift is a nice added bonus. Met the CEOs several times and they seem like decent people. There are opportunities to get involved in the Franchisee side of the business for those interested.

    Cons

Management underestimates the time it takes to complete basic tasks, particularly during closing shifts. There was often unpaid work after official closing hours as we tried to complete the impossible lists of tasks. OHS procedures were laughable, and many of my colleagues suffered minor injuries. Basic things like maintaining an in-date First Aid Kit were overlooked which was a bit scary.

I worked at Bakers Delight (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Bakers delight is a great place to make friends
    - It gives you food at the end of the night
    - Decent pay for my age

    Cons

    - I had three trial shifts and I was quite slow at knowing where everything is and serving costumers (obvious since I worked there only 3 times) when the owner said didn't get the job I was heartbroken as nearly all the staff I worked with said "you did so well" or "I recon you will get the job" when I asked why I didn't get it the owner said the managers (3) said I was to slow. They never told me to improve on this so obviously I didn't think it was a big problem.

    Advice to Management

Please critique your trainees so they will become better
