I worked at Bakers Shoes full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Organized. Structured. Free Shoes. Listened to employees who showed genuine, disciplined effort. Promoted from within.

    Cons

Not progressive. Too much promotion from within. Not everyone was qualified to be in their roles (or, there would have definitely been more qualified candidates out there). Paid well if you showed results. $18,000 salary increase in 2 years.

    Pros

I loved working in fashion and selling shoes! I worked with great people and had an awesome staff. There was a nice discount as well.

    Cons

I wish the company communicated with all of us working in stores that we would be closing. I was only given a two weeks notice that they would be closing the store.

    Advice to Management

Communication is key. I really did enjoy working at Bakers.
