    Pros

It is a non pressure job if you are a job coach for the clients, and they are usually very receptive to you (the clients that is) For the low pay you at least get health and dental coverage and the non-profit equivalent of a 401k p[an.

    Cons

Low pay and lack of communication throughout the culture. Often the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing!

    Advice to Management

Communicate better between yourselves and staff.

I worked at Bakersfield Association for Retarded Citizens full-time

    Pros

The Clients! Most awesome group of people ever!
The Staff (most of them). Big hearts. Very committed. A few bad apples, but overall good people.

    Cons

    Pay sucks!
Senior management is random. Shifts priorities with the wind. Too many of them.
President just so so, very political. Kinda arrogant.
Foundation is a waste of time. Exec is not professional and lacks integrity.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of Foundation or at least the director.
    Too many senior managers.
