    Pros

It's definitely possible to make 6 figures here. It takes time and skills to make it happen. The skills can be taught, but it is not easy.

    Cons

Training program could be improved. High turnover, but that's the nature of sales.

I worked at Balboa Capital full-time

    Pros

The only pro about this company is that they celebrate everyones birthday lol

    Cons

This is by far the WORST Company I have ever worked for. I worked as a customer service representative at it was brutal. This company is not 100% honest with their customers. They expect you to help customers without letting you be honest. They will keep a customers deposit without offering to send it back unless the customer ask for it. Ther are small clause in the lease that can trick a customer if they are not paying attention to what they sign....so you get yelled at ALL DAY by angry customers. To make matters worst the sups on the floor YELL at the customers also...so its just 8 hours of stress all day. RUN far away from this company!

    Advice to Management

No words for management....just glad I made it out of this place

I worked at Balboa Capital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No great reasons to work for this company.. but a bag of cookies from the President on Christmas Day..

    Cons

Everything about this company is wrong, unethical, with the worse management possible. You will come across with the most under-educated "Managers", super materialistic (because no one cares about your materialistic items) that act childish and unprofessional and that of course, will not care about you.

They will expect the MOST from you with hardly any training or support.

Managers will train people to rip off other people by lying to them, cheating, and saying things to customers JUST to make a deal and get commission.

Since day one working here, the company has been in many lawsuits in which no one knows because they want to maintain a "positive reputation."

The highest paid person there has committed fraud dozens of times to make money and can always "get away with it."

Management does not care about their employees because in their own words.. "everyone is replaceable."

You will feel under-appreciated, stressed, and not being valued at all..

Hardly any motivation, promotions, a ladder to move up, and/or incentives (Just President's Club, in which you can't hit those ridiculous high sales numbers unless you rip people off..)

Overall, you will be forced to be a slave, do unethical sales that will break your conscience at a such under-paid wage with a horrible commission structure.. do you really want to work at a place like this?

Just take your time in looking for a job that will appreciate you, your education, values, and what you're worth. This job is not worth it...

    Advice to Management

Worse management I have ever come across with. McDonald's has better management than this place. Highest turnover and yet they don't care.

    Pros

Great work environment. Filled with fun, energetic, and driven individuals! Good place to start if you are looking for a job in the field of finance.

    Cons

Felt like I was just left to develop on my own after training.

    Advice to Management

Wish they were more involved in your progress after training. Managers should be more sensible toward the newer employees.

I worked at Balboa Capital full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The pros are few:
-it just so happens that the uncorrupted new employees are decent people
-I'm pulling at straws because that's it.

    Cons

Everything that is wrong with the financial industry is amalgamated in this company. It is bent on ripping people off by offering them things they don't need with intrusive, abusive, and deceitful sales tactics.

It is an avalanche of lawsuits waiting to happen. Don't get involved if you don't want to be found an accessory to the lack of care for human life in this company.

You will be under-appreciated, under-paid, and you will be forced to do unethical sales practices that break your conscience. This company is the opposite of customer-centric, employee-centric; it is greed-centric.

You will hate every day and moment of this job. Everything about it is slimy with questionable ethics. The highest paid person here has defrauded dozens of customers to make a ton of money.

Don't be deceived by the big building. They ripped so many people off to pay for it. Their philosophy is kill to eat sales. Don't ask questions, just sell.

They legitimately don't want you to know what the product is because it's most likely fraudulent.

If you're desperate for a job, you're better off working for Starbucks. This job is not worth the cost.

    Advice to Management

The management is atrocious. They are sexist, and they boss employees around like they're slaves. Everyone is treated like a child, and monitored like one too. There is no dialogue, only orders to obey.
