      Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Balboa Water Group full-time for more than 8 years

      Pros

Believe in American manufacturing. Moved over 2,000 molds back to the US. Invest in people and technology Pay based on merit and performance

      Cons

Long hours and lots of work to be done. Not a place for lazy workers. The expectations are high but fair

      Advice to Management

Keep bringing the jobs back to America. Continue to look for acquisitions as it has really helped the company grow.

      Pros

Only a few people in the office and in production are nice, although they don't stay long and do a smart thing by moving on to better opportunities.

      Cons

Brief History of the Company: This company is one of the many companies located in the "Commerce Center" of Santa Clarita Valley, North of Los Angeles. It was family owned many years ago and did very well, especially before the China manufacturing boom. Since being sold to a Group of Investors a few years ago, it has be in rapid decline. There are two primary locations, Valencia and Tustin. As common with any...

Words of Advice: 1. Never yell at people in the work place, no matter who you think is at fault, that is setting yourself up for a lawsuit. Condescending remarks or having passive-aggressive attitude doesn't work on people. 2....

      Pros

Location is in the nicer business park in Valencia, CA

      Cons

Horrible treatment of employees. I was hired to work on a project, but I was never invited to any of the meetings. Power-tripping manager had plans to fire me even though he was part of the hiring process. He intentionally would give me the wrong information and then call a meeting with HR to tell me I did wrong. HR is just a puppet and beats on employees without questioning anything. Also, HR gave me an elementary school...
