I worked at Bally Technologies full-time

    Pros

The people for the most part are great. Recent restructures have cleaned out a lot of the "dead wood"-people who got paid a lot to do nothing.

    Cons

Not competitive on pay. A lot of politics particularly around offshore activities.

I have been working at Bally Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I cannot think of any good reasons right now. The place could be worst but it's just okay

    Cons

The supervisor likes to micromanage and he has his favorite employees that get away with any and everything.

    Advice to Management

They need to keep an eye on the way the supervisors treat employees like property instead of employees.

I worked at Bally Technologies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of experience to learn many facets of the casino industry. I was able to take pride in my work and show to others. Great benefits and time off was flexable.

    Cons

Once you start doing your job and doing it well you are automatically targeted by middle management (directors, etc) . They play politics all day and dont work so when someone actually works they consider them a threat and pigeon hole their career.

    Advice to Management

Start talking to managers to get the bad people out! All the layoffs that have occurred and the same bad directors are in place because they know someone. Time for a fresh start you have many talented people and will loose more and more if you don't open your eyes.

    Pros

Genuine collaboration with employees based in Reno, Nv.

    Cons

Cultural differences between offices created high walls and encumbered progress. Some offices in home office had an air of superiority.

    Advice to Management

Make the culture company wide. Ensure the culture is positive and encourage collaboration between offices, divisions, and management levels.

I worked at Bally Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get a paycheck.. There are no other pros to working here..

    Cons

If you join this company, you will be treated as a slave. You will be forced to work nights and weekends with no extra pay or bonus. If you do not sell yourself as a slave, you will be blackballed and eventually terminated. The managers in this company are all a boys club.. On monday after being forced to work all weekend, due to their lying to customers about the schedule, they will talk openly about their golf game. After the recent acquisition, they have not fired a single one of these useless idiots. If you do join, watch your back..

    Advice to Management

You love the company so much, and want to do whats best for the company.. Then fire yourselves.
