    You will learn a lot while working with other trainers.

    Cons

    Management is concerned with money ONLY. It makes it hard to focus on moral and client satisfaction.

    I worked at Bally Total Fitness full-time

    Pros

    The company deployed a number of marketing strategies. It was a great opportunity to be involved in so many disciplines. There was some great talent and I learned a lot.

    Cons

    There were rumors of buyouts and the recession took its toll. The company was downsized several times. As a result, work-life balance was a challenge. There was little employee development and no performance evaluation system.

    Good flexibility and generally a lot of leads.

    Cons

    Very low pay and overall poor corporate management.

    Gym membership
    Had some great coworkers and meet some great people

    Disorganized and Poorly managed
    Training tiers to get paid
    Little to no training
    If your not good at sales and talking to people this would not be a good job for you
    Low pay

    Invest in your employees and treat them well

    Provided Reimbursement for school was a great bonus. Not a lot of employeers provided reimbursement.

    club level employees care about what the do

    Cons

    Poor technology. Poor benefits. Corporate office very disorganized. Upper management does not care at all about the employees. Every week someone was threatened with losing their job. Complete lack of communication other verbally threatening people in public settings. 14 hour days

    Pros

    I don't remember too many good things. My 'office' was in a data room, my boss was racist (glad I matched her skin tone!)

    Cons

    See above. Difficult to do business with vendors because of non-payment. Difficult to work with Senior Management bent on milking customers on contracts.

    Advice to Management

    I think they got their advice when they were told to file Chapter 9.

    Pros

    They were a Microsoft .NET shop from top to bottom, and they maintained an MSDN subscription.

    Cons

    Everything else. The company is hurting financially and had already been through two bankruptcies.
