I worked at Bally Total Fitness full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Honestly the only positive thing I can think of working for Bally was that you learn how to hustle at an incredible pace and multitask like no one else.

    Cons

The hours they expect to to work are outrageous and compensation is very poor. No manager should have to work for $12 an hour. Upper management holds very high requirements and leaves you to del with their poor corporate decisions and keeps their hands clean of the dirty work. Hard work is never rewarded. As a former employee of 5 years, you keep getting promised more but in the end you realize it's never true. You'd think that a manage who takes two clubs out of the negative would be honored a raise.

    Advice to Management

If you want your employees to work hard for you show them you care for them when they need something from you. It cannot be a one sided situation.
