I have been working at Baltimore City Public School System full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

When the students aren't driving you crazy, they can honestly fill your heart with so much joy. The little moments of them understand the subject and watching them grow as people a truly amazing.

    Cons

As a long term substitute, you have all the the duties of a full time teacher at a third of the pay. Students, parents and administrators are a lot to juggle, especially when you are taking home next to nothing after taxes.

    Advice to Management

The entire education system needs an overhaul, management does what they can to operate in an already broken system.

Seem to care wayy more about raising scores than the individual children. The children's well-being as learning individuals seemed to be non-important.

    Advice to Management
