I have been working at Bamboo Rose full-time

    Pros

Summer Friday’s. Good work like balance.

    Cons

Leadership does not listen or empower employees to make decisions they should be making. Yet blame employees when their decisions do not work. CEO is rude and disrespectful if you aren’t on her good side. Account management has a lack of leadership and purely reactive approach to when he feels pressure from above. There are no developmental opportunities for junior level employees. There’s so much potential in employees- start investing in them and stop this “sick or swim” approach while the CEO enjoys watching people sink. Stop putting free products in contracts in hopes they will be successful. Lastly, please hire a Human Resource team. There is way too much that is happening that should be brought to the attention of a real HR team. Shocked legal actions haven’t been taken.

I have been working at Bamboo Rose full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great co workers, life work balance is decent, every other friday off in the summer, good health coverage

    Cons

Senior management for the most part is inept, CEO while very knowledgeable is one of the most unprofessional people I've ever worked with and will berate, belittle or make people feel uncomfortable with her remarks. Company expectations and objectives change frequently and are not clearly communicated to team that needs this information to properly execute their jobs. Unable to make quick decisions on anything due to layers of red tape and approval processes. If you can put up with the chaos or just not care, you might be ok.

I worked at Bamboo Rose full-time for more than a year

    Pros

work/life balance - but only because no one is keeping tabs on you. Occasional summer Friday's. The people are friendly.

    Cons

This has got to be the most disorganized organization I've ever been a part of. Where to even begin... the company is unable to properly forecast a short-term budget and is extremely stingy with spending money. It is nearly impossible to get contracts approved. The majority of upper management is all located in the Gloucester office and has no accountability for what takes place in the Boston office. CEO needs to be phased out, doesn't value new or innovative ideas - likes to stick with what's been done in the past. Product functionality isn't there. Internal teams are not on the same page, and rarely have any idea what is going on in the company as there is no transparency from upper management. No urgency on projects or deadlines. This is a place where you can get by doing very little as long as you can manage up well. No room for growth. Certain VPs will say and do anything just to appease upper management. Office is old and falling apart, black debris falls from the ceiling. Benefits are mediocre, but no dental/vision insurance. Lack of company culture.

I worked at Bamboo Rose full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The product has a niche and difficult to break into market, and this company has succeeded.

    Cons

Some upper management are not good at being managers. There's a common belief that when you leave the company you are considered dead.

    Pros

Summer Fridays! Challenging projects, good customer base. Lots of investment in improvements to product. Smart and engaged team to work with. Upper management seems to care about making things better. Good pay and health care benefits. Company is growing so everyone seems very positive. It's a small company so the actual work space is not very comfortable Office location is nice in the North End of Boston. Good cultural mix.

    Cons

It's a small company so the actual work space is not very comfortable but improvements are in the works.

I have been working at Bamboo Rose full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

This is a company that invests in its employees and promotes from within. The company is growing and is in a great space - providing the next generation plm/ product innovation software for retailers who need to keep up with customers. It's cloud-based, saas. It is overall a good place to work.

    Cons

The company expects people to be dedicated and to work hard and to think differently -- it's not a company that is mired in red tape. You're expected own your own business and be metrics driven. For those that do not fit the culture, it probably would not be a good fit.

I have been working at Bamboo Rose full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Tradestone is a great company. The people here are all incredibly smart and driven. I've joined from a larger organization. Its a totally different culture but its so refreshing. Everyone is so cordial and friendly. The pay/benefits are great too!! The group is incredibly team oriented and diverse. There are monthly group activities. There is also alot of room for advancement. I've already been promoted twice in two years.

    Cons

They could use a wider selection of k-cups for the Keurig machine. Also, no educational benefits.
