I worked at Banana Republic part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Generous discount, fun co-workers. Now you can wear jeans to work - when I was there you had to pair jeans with a blazer.

    Cons

Dress code was the hardest when moving the displays, but now they've relaxed it. Customer service is tough during the holidays.

    Advice to Management

Little treats during the holiday season for employees would go a LONG way. Cookies or gift cards for coffee/lunch spots. Nothing fancy - just know how mean people can be during the "giving season."

    Cons

Keep doing what you are doing!

    Pros

Great company to work for. Very welcoming.

    Cons

Physically exhausting, annoying customers especially at the cash wrap.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the optimism, enthusiasm. Don't bring personal issues to the job.

I have been working at Banana Republic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Ability to meet people from all over the world, and fulfilling in being able to over see a small group of people

    Cons

Sometimes you don't have a consistent schedule, working with a huge team sometimes leads to a disconnect. Long days, with high expectation

I worked at Banana Republic part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very proactive about making sure employees take their paid 15 minute break, and unpaid 30 minute break when required. Very cute clothes and 50% off full priced items, and 10% off sale items (if I remember correctly)

    Cons

There were really no cons. Overall very easy and relaxed environment.

    Advice to Management

    Overall nice managers

    Pros

Typical retail store. Staff was friendly and everything flowed. Very organized store

    Cons

    Gets hectic during holidays
Cash registers are older and a bit difficult to master at first.

I have been working at Banana Republic part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I like most of my coworkers and the pay is pretty good. The store is kept clean. 3.5 stars is a more accurate rating, but that wasn't an option.

    Cons

Haven't received as many hours as promised. A couple of my coworkers are lazy and I have to pick up their slack. That probably happens at most places though.

    Advice to Management

I appreciate the positive dynamic in the store. Something that could be improved is the communication between the leadership team and brand ambassadors. Overall, it's a good place to work.
