    Pros

    One of the best salaries and benefit packages of the market.

    Cons

    - Political environment focused on internal competition instead or creating value for the company;
    - Too hierarchical; you see one director at maybe every 3 months and with very little opportunity to interact with them; lower positions have no power to take any kind of decisions.
    - Feels like working in the public sector instead of a private company;

    Advice to Management

    Retire and let new blood take over.

    I worked at Banco Itaú full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Salary: It's way above the market average;

    Cons

    - Bureaucracy: very slow and difficult to do things; many paperwork and many approvals even for small changes;
    - Politics: The bank values far more political ability than analitical ability and results;
    - Slow growth: the company has far too many employees and the competition for career growth is huge;

    Pros

    Salary is within the average
    Excellent infrastructure
    A really good mission statement

    Cons

    The worst meritocracy method that I know (they have tried to copy Ambev but failed spectacularly) it's not fair or correct because it doesn't matter how good are your results, at the end of the year managers can change your score at their own will;
    Management is old and managers fight against innovation even when the company mission statement states that the company have to pursue innovation;
    So much hierarchy that most professionals stay at the same job for years and years without receiving a promotion or salary raise

    Advice to Management

    Embrace innovation, create a fair meritocracy method that doesn't allow score changes and simplify!

    I worked at Banco Itaú full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    One of the best salaries on the market;

    Cons

    Ridiculously bureaucratic;
    Incompetent Executives;
    Lots of unqualified employees that are kept due to union;
    Strongly subjective meritocracy;

    Advice to Management

    While the same executives stays in control, the bank will still be ridiculous. The only thing that saves you in the fact that is a very protected market. Let's just hope that this doesn't change in near future, for your sake...
