I have been working at Banco Itaú full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

great space for moving from one area to the other if you don't like one. Learning from good people if you find someone that has the time to teach you. Great business in Brasil,

    Cons

not all areas have a good system of teaching someone new a job position, sometimes you have to learn by yourself, and that can be difficult if you don't know all the questions you should ask.

    Advice to Management

be the serving leader, don't be the boss. We have enough bosses. Find, teach and train people that are better than you, and then let them be, give them space and autonomy to create and put all their great ideas to work. Coach, don't just judge.

I worked at Banco Itaú full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Itaú is a big company with lots of benefits for its employees. The employees are always well treated and have all they need to perform.

    Cons

Particularly, I had some rough time as the company was through a restructuring phase. I changed areas 5 times in just 11 months (4 because the former area ceased to exist or was absorbed by a bigger area, 1 by the internal relocation program).

Aside that, Itaú is a very bureaucratic place, with old management ideas. It's not a good place for IT personnel as the technologies they use are almost always outdated.

    Pros

The company offers high salary comparing to other companies and opportunity to grow in your career. It's a big company that adds value in your CV.

    Cons

The aggressive environment and pressure for great results at all costs. Expectation for great results in short time. Too much bureaucracy and time spent in activities that doesn't add any value.

    Advice to Management

Try to improve the work/life balance and the environment inside the company.

    Pros

Great company with many social projects
    Friendly and welcoming people
Program includes speeches with upper management
    You are given a project
    Flexibiltiy
    Only 6 hours

    Cons

Depending on your team/project, your project can be very limited and you end up looking for things to do. Definitely not the rule though

    Advice to Management

Make sure that all interns have a very well-defined and clearly-structured project and that they are given the tools/training necessary to accomplish it
