I have been working at Bank Austria full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible working hours, salaries ok, undefined contracts (as opposed to some competitors), highly automated processes, lot of career options within the bank, new modern building is being built, strong union, subsidized lunch, competent health center.

    Cons

Rather negative changes recently, the situation of the employees working in Vienna is still unclear. Rumors about a possible sale. After the CEE spin-off Bank Austria might become an austrian bank instead of an international bank. The average age of the employees is rising as there is no new in-flow of fresh graduates.

    Advice to Management

Clear communication to employees working in Austria, appraisal of CEE-spinoff, HR should hire even at times of downsizing.
