I worked at Bank of America for more than 20 years

    Pros

There are a lot of opportunities for involvement within the company and this can lend a hand to advancing your career. Overall, great corporate culture, very professional. This is a company that promotes being engaged in the community and this makes Bank of America an excellent place to work! Almost everyone at this company is very friendly and there are also great benefits too!

    Cons

No real down sides except that there are a few people that are managing others that should not be managers....think they may need to vet their screening process as to who has direct reports and who doesn't. It is not an unbearable place to be, even with some of the less qualifies management.

    Advice to Management

I would stress to the management that they are always focused on helping their people rise. While I was fortunate to have many great bosses....there were a few that I sensed could not care one bit over my future. Your people are your future and with this in mind, I think, we need to be slightly more cognizant of the talent you have before you.

I worked at Bank of America

    Pros

Good benefits package. They have a fitness center downstairs that is free to all BOA employees

    Cons

People are stuck up and stuffy and they will over work their employees

    Advice to Management

Stop acting like you're better than everyone else just because you have a MANAGER title.....CLEARLY a title that SOME OF YOU.......DO NOT NEED AT ALL.

I worked at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

Most interesting thing about my position was the ability to work with o workers in other countries (India, Costa Rica and Mexico). I especially enjoyed taking on the challenges of the calendaring and travel scheduling as well event planning for team and community events.

    Cons

As administrative assistant in BOFA it is hard to move up since they removed the position of Business Lead I & II within this position you would be able to learn more of the business and prove your analytical and communication skills.

    Advice to Management

I believe in open door policy and clear direction. Also, management could when possible suggest placing an admin to assist in a project that would advance her skills and the team goals.

I worked at Bank of America full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

They have great benefits, child care & tuition reimbursement banking and mortgage discounts.

    Cons

I feel that if you have reached a salary cap then come time for budget cuts then those of us making a decent salary are the ones to go so they can bring in new people for less cost, not cool.
