    Pros

    A great company with values

    Cons

The adverse attitude of an individual does not spread across the organization. Because one or a few individuals is not a refkection of the company as a whole.

    Pros

Tools and resources provided are plentiful. Brand sells itself.

    Cons

Stale outdated management and lackluster salary.

    Advice to Management

Step up the compensation and focus on grooming the next generations rather than the existing non-preforming outdated leadership.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Smart, hardworking and driven coworkers and senior members of the team. You learn a lot and get unparalleled exposure.

    Cons

Very long hours, weekend work often, rigid corporate totem poll. As a junior member of the team, your time is not valued nor is your opinion.

    Advice to Management

Need to implement work/ life balance seriously. There are very shallow and useless initiatives that exist to restrict junior bankers from working too much, but when push comes to shove those rules are ignored but senior members of the team. I am never truly off the clock and never feel relaxed, even on weekends, late at night or vacations.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are a great deal of opportunities if you work outside of the banking centers. Most of the people I worked with had been with the company for 5 to 40 years so there is a chance for longevity. The benefits are excellent and can be extended to family and partners.

    Cons

If you don't know the right people it can be hard to move into a new role. Networking is critical. There are also frequent org changes so its possible to be moved into new roles every or under a new executive every year.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Awesome benefits! Honestly they can not be compared to any other financial institution in their industry. From matching up to 7% on 401k, providing four months maternity/bonding time to providing reasonable health coverage prices, BOA hands down has the best benefits.

    Cons

Although diversity and inclusion are apart of the banks mantra, its not completely honored. I was the only black person on my team of 95% Hispanics. Diversity sure.....inclusion...not so much from my experience in the Brea, CA location.

BOA is also slow to promote. It is alllllll about who you know. Networking will be your primary tool to grow, not your skill set.

Lastly, HR, they are not as supportive as they promote. Although the bank advertises that you can go to HR and report things however as soon as you do, you direct manager is made aware of it.

*Disclaimer* These experiences are not a reflection of the entire bank as a whole, I am only talking about the contact center location in Brea,CA.

    Pros

Great benefits all around great employee perks stable and OK salary but you could really could get better pay for the same job somewhere else

    Cons

The employees it’s like high school again unless you chose to suck up or socialize instead in just doing your job and going home you won’t get anywhere

I worked at Bank of America as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Management treat you as a regular employee!

    Cons

Assignments ends if not offer at the end of your contract.

    Advice to Management

allow contractors who work hard to go permanent.
