I worked at Bank of America as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pays fairly well for a company whose most valued employees are not software devs

    Cons

Manager had made no plans about my intern project until after I started my first day on the job
Training and onboarding for new hires was extremely tedious and ate into time for projects
Technology stack is extremely outdated and inefficient compared to those used in other companies
All office space was taken, so technology interns on my floor had to set up workstations in their rarely-used game room

    Advice to Management

Take intern projects more seriously and provide more support for them

I have been working at Bank of America as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I had a great manager and mentor who both made sure that I got the most out of my internship with relative projects. The work culture at the office is very respectful, and I was fortunate to work with a team that had great synergy with each other. Work and life balance is also excellent -- I hardly had to stay overtime to get something done.

    Cons

Not all teams are like this from what I've heard. The cubicle set-up is also a little depressing.

    Advice to Management

    N/A

    Pros

Depending upon the team, day to day can be enjoyable. Pay is great for Charlotte with opportunities for advancement if you're talented.

    Cons

Can feel like a rudderless ship. Constant re-orgs cause consistent changes in direction. Can feel like a corporate machine.

    Advice to Management

    Groom talent.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits not much else that would be considered a Pro to work their.

    Cons

Too many to mention in this little space...if you want to be micromanaged by 5 managers and have no route for promotion and get a crumb of a bonus then this is defiantly the place to work for you.

    Advice to Management

Actually lead not suck up to managers above you. Also be truthful to staffers especially when their jobs will be outsourced
