I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Base and bonus income were on the high end. Good benefits.

    Cons

Too much office politics. Narrow view of what underwriters did and comparing production for west coast and east coast loans the same when complexity was very different depending on the region.

    Advice to Management

We underwrote for high net worth clients and with various policy changes, these clients were treated like any other client causing the bank to lose business.
Management did not recognize the complexity of work we did nor did we feel valued.

I worked at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

Good benefits but not great pay.

    Cons

Sometimes the procedures were not clear and the requirement that the written procedures should be read for every transaction makes the job very tedious since the written procedures are so long.

    Advice to Management

Measure team service managers on how efficiently they manage their team and how well they help subordinates.

    Pros

Opportunity to do a lot and learn a lot

    Cons

Management doesn't understand the needs of the employees. They just want everyone to tow the line. A bit tone-deaf.
