I worked at Bank of America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Met some great co-workers; learned a lot everyday.

    Cons

Always short staff on teller line..always hear clients complain on daily basis. Sales goals were no joke..market manager would breathe down your neck if you didn't meet goals..would come to your branch and sit with you to do coaching to see how you would interact with clients..then would give feedback, tell you that you're terrible in a nice way. Write you up if you dont meet goals

    Advice to Management

Not every client will need a product or service...maybe they come to take care of a transaction..you keep forcing these items on them and pretty soon you will have the same fate as Wells Fargo. Lighten up on sales...you are losing good employees because of the selling atmosphere

Trail by fire on the job training will provide solid experience if you are able to stay long enough.

National management created a culture designed to generate misery and high turnover so as to underpay and overwork as much as possible.

    Advice to Management

Middle management was great - leave. You can do better. National management ask yourself if creating a culture of fear and misery is really the only way to control cost and examine if maybe there is another reason you have implemented this strategy.
