I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, opportunity for advancement, flexibility

    Cons

Constant Changes, sales and goals pressure, understaffing, hard to move up internally unless you know someone or are switching lines of business.

    Advice to Management

Make sure managers are capable of not only being managers but also be good leaders that respect their associates. I’ve had a number of managers but maybe only two or three I can honestly say they were leaders.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great benefits when it comes to having personal time off, sick days, vacation, childcare reimbursement, and health insurance. One of the best paying bank.

    Cons

It was once a great company to work for. Lately, micromanagement has gone through the roof as you are forced to dial out to clients they have forced to go to their online platform to come back to the bank and up sale them. Our goals is to help put clients in more debt. Company only cares about those with money. They see many minorities like criminals, even when they come to make a simple withdraw from their own accounts. Too many ways to state how we discriminate toward our clients by withholding some information when I come to applying to certain products. We are been told not to mention it unless the client actually ask for it.

If you don't have an appointment, they will avoid helping you at all cost, unless your bank account can make them think twice. Bank of America is one step away from becoming like Wells Fargo. Most employees are scared to speak up due to upper management retaliation. If you don't want to bring the stress of your work home with you, please stay away.

More employees are about to lose their jobs in the near future as the minimum wage is about to increase. I have been in the company long enough to make that prediction. This used to be one of the best companies to make a career out of, and now it has been taken away.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your employees a little more and stop trying to make them resign due to your poor management skills and work ethic. Work supposed to be fun and enjoyable by helping clients and one another. Your managing style sucks and at time, we feel as we are slaves to this industry. Your turnovers are way too high and it is a matter of time before you'll end up on the news like your competitor.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been working for BoA for almost 2 years and the company offers Great benefits, easy to transfer, many reimbursement programs.

    Cons

Since I started working for BoA almost 2 years ago, spent time in 3 different financial centers. The pressure can get pretty overwhelming depending on the leadership you fall under.

    Advice to Management

They need to focus more on what's important to the client, not only about goals. That shows right thru the workers and customers see it right away. It gives the company a bad reputation

    Pros

Great benefits and training. good employee morale.

    Cons

Used to work in Charlotte, NC and much better chance of internal advancement than in south Florida. Unable to internally transfer or get promotion. Basically pigeon-holed into a job.

    Advice to Management

Be more proactive in employee future goals and help them attain. Mid-level management (branch etc) very supportive, regional not so much.
