I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great support from the leaders. They will work with your college schedule so you get time to go to study.

    Cons

Not enough rewards for the CSR's. Everything else I would say that it's fine. You get the same benefits if you are part-time.

    Advice to Management

Encourage people to dream big, challenge them with different tasks so people can develop other skills, and encourage them to aim for better positions within the company.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You will always know when you have to be there and when you will leave. The pay is average, that's about it

    Cons

It is the most micromanaged company that I have ever worked for. And you are only as good as your last month ,Managers will backstab you in there is no support for employees. Most of the branches are completely understaffed and they expect you to do way more with way less don't take my word for it read the other reviews on here.

    Advice to Management

Trust your people to do their jobs stop micromanaging it only makes them not work hard.give your people to two they need to be successful

I worked at Bank of America part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible Scheduling, On going Training

    Cons

    Management, Transaction Limits for Tellers

    Advice to Management

Hire people with a little bit of experience, a degree does not mean you know how to do your job.

    Pros

Compensation is Competitive, Bonuses, Vacation time.
    401K Matching Program is excellent
Hours of Operation are perfect for families
Customer Interaction, Building Relationships with Regulars

    Cons

    Impossible Sales Goals
Non Stop Share Point Reporting every hour on the hour
Condescending Conference calls twice a week
    Lack of Training

    Advice to Management

Increasing the sales goals every quarter is unrealistic. Micro-Management will never "motivate" your team to produce. It only offers a stressful and uncomfortable work environment that the customers can sense as you pace back and forth by our desks as we try to "uncover the customer's needs". Even worse, when your Operations Manager pops her head in your office and asks (while you have someone at your desk) What do you have so far? I need to report it!

    Pros

Reasonable pay and generally well treated as an employee. 40-hour workweek is a breeze.

    Cons

Antediluvian technology and processes. Constant micro-managing by superiors outside the branch. Massive unnecessary bureaucracy.

    Advice to Management

Dramatically reduce the amount of cooks in the kitchen. The vast majority of the suits above the branch level seem to be unaware of what retail banking is really about. Invest in technology at the branch level.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Compensation was very competitive; lots of volunteer and leadership development opportunities. Very diverse group of colleagues.

    Cons

With sweeping regulatory changes rampant in the industry, healthy business growth is severely inhibited. Instead of helping to find solutions that comply with new reporting standards, I found management to buckle under the pressure at the mere mention of FINRA or the SEC.

  7. "Negative experience. The worst manager ever."

    Pros

Company Benefits are great, many essential tools to help you learn your role. Had the opportunity to meet some nice people.

    Cons

Long hours, very disorganized. My manager abused her authority. Within 11 months I was there a total of 8 people left.

    Advice to Management

Pay close attention to the branch managers that abuse their employees.
