I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are a great deal of opportunities if you work outside of the banking centers. Most of the people I worked with had been with the company for 5 to 40 years so there is a chance for longevity. The benefits are excellent and can be extended to family and partners.

    Cons

If you don't know the right people it can be hard to move into a new role. Networking is critical. There are also frequent org changes so its possible to be moved into new roles every or under a new executive every year.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits, Working from home was the best, great team work.

    Cons

Too many re-orgs. Never knew who you were reporting to up the ladder past your immediate manager. Inconsistent deliverables throughout the enterprise made it hard to work on project documentation. Each org required something different.

    Advice to Management

Instill consistency across the enterprise and reduce the amount of re-orgs.

    Pros

Great work from home depending on your team. Managers understand our travel role and do accommodate that. Good support but you have to speak up and ask.

    Cons

Training could be better but they know that and are actively working towards improving this.

    Advice to Management

Our group of managers are great. Each area is different.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits. Ability to move around company. In the right group, you are always busy and always learning and are acknowledged and sometimes rewarded when you give extra effort. You can never know it all at Bank of America. There is always something to learn and contribute.

    Cons

Poor staff management in some departments (not all). I have worked with wonderful managers. However, one bad apple can spoil the entire moral of a team and when this occurs, there is no resolution as human resources protects leadership.

    Advice to Management

Implement Kolbe method or similar to effectively communicate with staff and understand how your communication style impacts others. Use this method to enhance/improve associate strengths and improve morale.
