I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

It's about as stable as a bank can be (too big to fail). If you like being a cog in a gigantic impersonal machine (and, yes, some people do), you'll fit right in.

    Cons

If you don't like being a cog in a gigantic impersonal machine, if you want the kind of less formal, more entrepreneurial, more creative environment (like most software people), a giant bank is not for you, and this is certainly one of the most giant banks.

    Advice to Management

A banking culture is appropriate for bankers, but in a corporation so large, you have lots of employees whose jobs aren't about banking. Those people need a different culture. If you can't have two cultures in one company, spin those jobs off into a separate company that has a client-vendor relationship with the corporation and then that company can develop an appropriate culture.

    Pros

Associates are great to work with. Many locations to work at.

    Cons

Lacking in company culture. Constant reorganization of leadership makes it almost impossible to build culture within departments. Benefits package standard.

    Advice to Management

Management does a good job of online town halls but need more local connection with associates.
