I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Best in class technology. 24/7 customer access. Pay and benefits are very good.

    Cons

Customer experience is not important except for the highly affluent. Goals are not aligned with corporate initiatives, especially customer satisfaction goals. Ivory tower mentality.

    Advice to Management

Experiments should be conducted on radical restructuring plans before they are executed on a wide scale. Many very good associates were lost with the latest transformation project and many pieces to the strategy were changed or eliminated anyway. Very costly and generated low morale.

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

good benefits. good opportunity for advancement due to very high turnover ( If you last...)

    Cons

underpaid job for the stress you take from customers and management pushing for sales quotas to be met !

Its all about sales, customers ARE NOT IMPORTANT ! Tellers are expected to generate sales referrals of Credit cards, loans etc etc... the goals are unrealistic and you are just a number. Not a good place to work.

    Advice to Management

Give sales to sales people and let tellers provide good customer service.
