I worked at Bank of America (More than a year)

    Pros

Solid way to get your feet wet and get your foot in the door in the financial services industry. They pay for designations. Good way to learn the business from the ground up. Can progress into FA program or pivot and move to another area of the business

    Cons

sometimes this position can be somewhat of a black hole if you're looking for something more. Know when it's time to move on and progress toward something more advanced

    Advice to Management

It would be nice to see a structured client associate program for employees interested in getting into the production side of the business

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Work with many great people within global transaction services at the bank, there are ample opportunities to grow as long as you build your network and sponsorship

    Cons

Salaries only seem to move 10% from Associate to VP and across the board in terms of promotions. It seems a challenge to stay within the bank if you want to grow your salary in a impactful way. Bonuses generally have been fairly decent especially when compared with some of BofAs peers.

    Advice to Management

Meaningful salary growth is challenging which sends a signal that you may at some point have to move outside the bank to get what the rest of the market pays.

I worked at Bank of America part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Usually, working hours do not go past 6pm.So thats cool. Good work/home life balance. Paid days off. Off holidays, Easy to move up,and fairly similar duties

    Cons

Can get boring if you're not ambitious. Same things everyday. You get audited and if you dont know your stuff, it can severely hurt the team

    Advice to Management

    Come around more often.
