I worked at Bank of America (Less than a year)

    Pros

Absolutely nothing. I left within six months. I should have left after my first day.

    Cons

Too many to share. Former employees could write novels on this topic.

    Advice to Management

Stop changing management, policies, strategies, marketing etc... every 2 months.

I worked at Bank of America part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Plenty of hours to work if needed,.

    Cons

Terrible hiring procedure. Recruiters are the first contact for BOA and they are pretty unreliable. Management is mostly very young, overworked and underpaid. Upper management is disconnected from customer needs. Constantly driving sales numbers and micromanaging without listening to customer needs. High teller turnover. Low pay, long hours, and you need to be hired for over a year to get a 401k match. Ridiculous. Worst company I have ever worked for.

    Advice to Management

Your ship is sinking. Your competitors are connected to the customer and selling their souls for the bottom dollar.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The benefits are pretty good although many have been done away with since the financial meltdown.
    Close to home for me
Can be easy to stay "off the radar"

    Cons

    Lack of work life balance
    Unreasonable expectations
Continually making goals a moving target
    Generally unhappy workforce

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay and benefits were top notch, with a healthy base salary, full benefits, matching 401k and decent time off.

    Cons

I worked there at the time of the Merril Lynch merger and housing bubble burst. The restructuring that took place led to a good amount of confusion amongst the workers. Other than that, it's pretty much like every other top-5 bank in the country.
