I have been working at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

Benefits are great. Love holidays off.
Pay is decent, but not worth the stress.

    Cons

Required to work every Saturday. And have to explain why you are taking a Saturday off with your vacation.

You get wrote up monthly if you miss a goal no matter how rough the traffic flow is, and yet you are paid incentive quarterly. So you could get wrote up two months and still fund for incentive. Then others could skim through as minimalist not meet goal or fund but meet minimal number to skirt by without a write up.

If you want to move up good luck. You get hired and are pegged to be in a specific spot and never move. It is a “friends” game to move up anywhere.

    Advice to Management

Management needs overhauled. Minimize how many chiefs there are and have more Indians (doers). Require every market manager and executive to sit at a desk in a branch one week a quarter to see what in branch personnel works with.

Lower the amount of steps it takes (which reduces time and pay spent) just to make notes for one client. Takes about 20-30 minutes to fill out four to five different logs after client leaves. Makes clients waiting in lobby wait even longer.

    Pros

Hours and the people I️ work with. Having holidays off is nice as well. The potential benefit is solid too.

    Cons

Inability to do what is asked of me. Management is very disconnected from their employees. I’m just a number to them.

    Advice to Management

    Practice what you preach.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good experience in the financial industry and exposure to how banks operate. Great chance to better understand what the focus is and goals of a major financial institution look and feel like.

    Cons

Commission structure isn't going to drastically impact your annual income unless something has changed with how they structure their compensation plan for personal bankers. Great entry level opportunity to be a personal banker.

    Advice to Management

Allow for personal bankers to truly get a look at different segments of the bank and gain real exposure to the work that is done outside the banking center. Corporate exposure to the initiatives of the bank would be a bonus to see as your career path may change for the future.

    Pros

Pay is good,,,great opportunity for growth

    Cons

In metro Detroit area Company will transfer you with late notice and threaten to terminate you if you can not adhere to new schedule given in 24-48 hour time span. These transfer vary for reason but you can not contest to a move or it will be considered as resigning from role. Sucks for a person who has life outside of BofA

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay and prestige. If you hear anyone who didn't like it they didn't work hard. If you dont make 300 phone calls a day or set up seminars and talk to wealthy people all day you don't deserve to be there. You don't have a choice not to hustle or grind. It's a job where you eat what you kill and if you didn't bring in the 30 million in 3 years it's truly your fault.

    Cons

Work load and the government. It's truly a career you work more than 40 unless you know alot of wealthy people/business that trust you with their money.

    Advice to Management

Nothing the're great and good at separating the people that do and dont need to be there. There always positive with I think is most helpful.
