I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)
Stability, generally good internal processes, generally good benefits.
No real pension plan. Low pay. Large amount of outsourcing. Focus on maximizing short-term profits and minimizing operational costs harms long-term sustainability. Difficult to advance. Internal politics rather than data drive to many moves.
Advice to Management
Need a better focus on the long-term quality and performance of the company rather than simply the next quarterly numbers. They also need to spread out the huge salaries and bonuses given to upper management and the investment teams to the rest of the employees to provide the support they need to succeed. I would recommend that the salary spread between lowest and highest paid employees be no more than 25 times, including all bonuses. This will help the company attract and retain the best workers at all levels.
