I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Associates are great to work with. Many locations to work at.

    Cons

Lacking in company culture. Constant reorganization of leadership makes it almost impossible to build culture within departments. Benefits package standard.

    Advice to Management

Management does a good job of online town halls but need more local connection with associates.

    Pros

Security of working for Financial Instituion; Large enough for movement within and outside your department

    Cons

Politicking that directly affects one standing(compensation & project granting) , Frequent almost seasonal Lay-offs, old BofA & ML culture never really gelled

    Pros

Great benefits, good pay and interesting and diversified work challenges. This is a great job for anyone who wants to move up the ladder and has the credentials and desire to do so. There are a variety of programs you can join that will mentor you to develop your skill sets, as well as providing community outreach in a variety of causes.

    Cons

Lots of changes - be ready to engage a new environment, task or challenge on a regular basis. Also be ready to put in long hours as deadlines need to be met.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Outstanding benefits, the health insurance packages were incredible. The company has a great understanding for personal emergencies - I had taken maternity leave (12 weeks paid), and soon after returning to work my husband was in a major accident and on life support. BoA has an employee family benefit where they will hold your position in qualifying medical emergencies such as this, although unpaid (since my fmla had been used for the year). I'm grateful to have had such an understanding company and management team as a support in such a scary time.

    Cons

Lack of career growth opportunity, feeling like a spec in a crowd.

    Advice to Management

Hire people who know what they are doing.
