I have been working at Bank of America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Still new and learning but training is good. Managers and staff are fair and honest. Expectations and goals are clearly given.

    Cons

One of the cons, it's high pressure performance based but everyone knows that going in. If you don't like it go somewhere else.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great brand name
    Competitive products
    Technology is second to none

    Cons

Branch managers have no say in hiring and management of relationship managers and sales associates. Sales goals consists of a significant portion of performance but the sales managers keep hiring staff who are not qualified in the role.

    Advice to Management

Other banks have tried this model only to revert to the traditional model.
Imagine you are a managing a team of IT associates and you have no say in the hiring and management of them but your performance depends on how well the perform.
I've seen many talented branch managers and assistant managers leave the company because they are tired of dealing with Market Sales Managers who are incompetent and manage via emails.
