I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great training. We were required to complete it immediately. Challenge is management did not always provide adequate time to complete it.

    Cons

Upper level management says that they are concerned about your development and are interested in your feedback. However that is just a façade. And the main challenge is that you have supervisors upper level management who themselves do not know what they are doing. They rely on others who have been in the job that have more experience to show them what needs to be done. If I was you I would not even apply. Don't waste your time going there where in the end you will be stress every single day and the support is not there for you. Career opportunities are available however make sure that you know how to brown nose and you know how to work the system in order to move up the ladder hard work is not necessarily the Avenue or the path for success.

    Advice to Management

Know what you are doing!!! They are always looking to uncover the problem; however never to provide the solution.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are really good, such as Insurance options and daycare reimbursement and the hours which are great for work life balance

    Cons

Sales goals are ridiculously high, company does not care about customers, bankers feel more like car salesmen than really putting the client at the front of what we do

    Advice to Management

Start caring about customer service and put the clients first, stop trying to squeeze clients into buckets and giving them products they don’t need just to hit quota!

I worked at Bank of America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They pay you a small $60k salary and if you are in a high traffic branch, you can make another $20 - $30k.

    Cons

Everything about this company. Change policy and procedures on a weekly basis. Three different managers that all have oversight will constantly be telling staff different information. Contradicting each other, so no matter who you listen to you upset the other two. They are the most f’ed up organization I have ever been associated with.

    Advice to Management

Staff branches with more workers and fire all the middle managers.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Extensive training and assistance with role. Great knowledge base and resources.

    Cons

Mentions of opportunities are not accurate. Constant changes and uncertainty.

    Advice to Management

Streamline and uniform more of the procedures. Don't just change a policy because someone else did or there was an idea. It confuses the whole process.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Teamwork among co-workers was very high. Everyone had to pitch in and help as management didn't take enough training or interest in the process to be able to help.

    Cons

Management was disinterested in helping. They went to other teams to get help for tasks that should have been easily handled within the group.

    Advice to Management

Take the training and learn in before expecting the team to use it. Garners much more respect from the team when you can answer a simple question.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

In 2 years I went from making $12.50 an hour to $16.60. There's a lot of room for growth. Management wants to see you succeed. Benefits are good. No occurrences while you still have sick time.

    Cons

I've been in 2 departments so far both seem a little unorganized. People do multiple roles and the requirement to get the extra compensation is almost impossible. I know someone trying to join the team and he can't get an email back. No matter if you are looking for a job internal or external the recruiters are HORRIBLE

    Advice to Management

Take management calls if someone asks to speak with a manager just take the call stop giving push back.

    Pros

Benefits, lots of time off and has locations all over to stay within the company. Raises and bonuses annually based on performance

    Cons

Hard to switch to other lines of businesses, systems are slow and needs more opportunities to be able to become qualified in other departments

    Advice to Management

Upgrade technology for employees to be more efficient
